A full-coverage cap is one of the most effective ways to protect the top of a chimney — shielding the entire crown area from rain, snow, animals, and debris. Unlike standard caps that only cover the flue, full-coverage caps extend across the full top of the chimney. We custom-fit every cap for proper coverage and long-term performance.

The crown is the chimney's first line of defense against water. We repair cracked and failing crowns — and build new ones using proper crown mix, not mortar — so the repair lasts for decades and directs water away from the structure.

After any significant masonry work, we apply a breathable, vapor-permeable sealant that blocks water intrusion without trapping moisture inside the masonry. Essential protection against Vermont's freeze-thaw cycles.
